The party returned to Winteshold with the recovered map as well as a number of prisoners and went over the findings with Sir Aldus. After some discussion (including Mogloret) it was determined that the next place the party should visit was a place called Ceddwick.
Ceddwick happens to be the home of Consuela, the Gnome Druid in the party. She revealed that she was aware that her town was taken over by forces unknown. She escaped and came to Wintershold looking to find a party to help her liberate her home. She didnt know who to trust and so did not share this information until now.
Gnomes are an extremely private people. So much so that only very few people even know where their settlements are. That is the case with Ceddwick. No one in Wintershold even knew this town existed even though it was about 150 miles south. There is only one entrance to Ceddwick which is through an old tree. You need to be a Gnome in order to pass through. Consuela was out in the forest when the attack came. She ran.
During the discussion about Ceddwick it was revealed that a cartographer and alchemist made Ceddwick their home. Octavius speculated that Ceddwick was seized because of the cartographer or at least the maps he has.
The party was able to gain access to the first level of Ceddwick which is a farming level. There were clear signs of struggle. After some investigation the party discovered a number of Duergar (dark Dwarves). They proceeded to engage them and defeat them. The party still needs to investigate the storage room where the Duergar came from.
